Heute wollen wir uns ein wenig St. Thomas ansehen und erst am Nachmittag eine Bucht weiter ziehen. Heute in der Fr\u00fch sind bereits wieder zwei neue, noch gr\u00f6\u00dfere Schiffe angekommen. Wir sehen die vielen hinten Taxen, wie Pick-Ups, die zu Kleinbussen umgebaut wurden, auf Passagiere der Kreuzfahrschiffe warten und halten es f\u00fcr eine gute Idee auch eine solche Tour zu unternehmen. Wir fahren zum Dinghy Anlegesteg in die Marina und fangen eines der Taxen bei der Einfahrt zum Anlegebereich der Kreuzfahrer<a href=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxi.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2718\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2718\" src=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxi-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"St_Thomas_Taxi\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxi-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxi-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxi-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxi.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> ab. Oder hat uns der Fahrer dieses Taxi\u00b4s abgefangen? 25 US$ sollen wir f\u00fcr eine 1,5 st\u00fcndige Rundfahrt bezahlen. Das scheint in Ordnung zu sein. Der Taxifahrer gibt sich aber mit uns Dreien nicht zufrieden und quatscht pausenlos Leute an. Tats\u00e4chlich schafft er es, noch weitere 6 Personen, alle \u00e4ltere Amerikaner aus den Kreuzfahrschiffen, zu akquirieren.\u00a0 Seine Laune steigt damit sprunghaft an und wir haben viel Spa\u00df mit ihm. Er macht viele Witze, erkl\u00e4rt viel, wenn wir auch nicht <a href=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxifahrer.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2719\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2719\" src=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxifahrer-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"St_Thomas_Taxifahrer\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxifahrer-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Taxifahrer.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a>immer alles verstehen, und hat eine unglaubliche Lache. Die anderen Mitfahrer tragen ihren Teil dazu bei, dass diese Rundfahrt nicht nur interessantes \u00fcber St. Thomas bietet. Die Fahrt geht in Richtung Stadt, vorbei an Bluebeard\u00b4s Castle, an Fort Christian, hinauf zum Blackbeard\u00b4s Castle. Die Piraten hatten schon fr\u00fcher die gute Lage des Naturhafens erkannt. Auf einen Besuch des Blackbeard-Museums f\u00fcr 15 US$ verzichteten wir. Kurz hinter dem Castle legten wir einen kurzen Stopp ein und sehen auf die vielen Gassen und Wege der am H\u00fcgel liegenden Stadt hinab. Nach einigen Besitzwechseln geh\u00f6rten die USVI den D\u00e4nen. Aus diesem Grund ist hier alles d\u00e4nisch gepr\u00e4gt und diese vielen Wege werden als typisch d\u00e4nisch angesehen. Erst 1917 kauften die<a href=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Aussicht.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2712\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-2712 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Aussicht-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"St_Thomas_Aussicht\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Aussicht-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Aussicht.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a> USA die drei Inseln St. Thomas, St. John und St. Croix f\u00fcr 48 Tonnen Gold, damals 21 Mil. US$, den D\u00e4nen ab. Wir fuhren weiter den H\u00fcgel hinauf zu einem Aussichtspunkt auf den Hafen und die umliegenden Buchten. Ein \u00a0Kreuzfahrtschiff steuerte durch den West Gregerie Channel auf St. Thomas zu. Ein weiteres lag bereits dort in der Crown Bay am dortigen Cruise Ship Dock. Insgesamt 4 Schiffe mit im Schnitt 3.000 Passagieren bringen dann etwa 12.000 Leute an diesem Tag auf diese Insel. Unsere Rundfahrt ging weiter auf den Gipfel des Berges, Signal Hill. Hier gab es entsprechend der ankommenden Cruising-G\u00e4ste eine riesige Halle mit Souvenirs. Thomas und ich hatten bereits bei der ersten Aussichtsplattform je ein Kappe f\u00fcr 5 US$ erstanden. Das Besondere: unser Name steht darauf! Von hier oben ging es mit einem weiteren Stopp hinunter in die Stadt. Wir verlie\u00dfen dort unser Taxi und gingen \u00fcber die Haupteinkaufsstra\u00dfe St. Thomas, eine Parallelstra\u00dfe der Uferstra\u00dfe. Bereits die D\u00e4nen hatten Charlotte Amalie 1724 zur Freihandelszone erkl\u00e4rt, die es bis heute geblieben ist. So sah auch die Einkaufsstra\u00dfe<a href=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Snack.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2715\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-2715\" src=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Snack-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"St_Thomas_Snack\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Snack-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Snack-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Snack-400x300.jpg 400w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St_Thomas_Snack.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a> aus. Ein Juwelier und Uhrenladen reihte sich an den n\u00e4chsten. Uns versuchte man Rolex Uhren schmackhaft zu machen, die h\u00f6chstens das halbe Gewicht einer echten Rolex hatten. Damit war unser Interesse an diesen L\u00e4den abrupt erloschen. Wir gingen einen Happen Essen und machten uns anschlie\u00dfend auf den R\u00fcckweg. Direkt vor der Marina unseres Dinghy-Parkplatzes konnten wir in <a href=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St-Thomas_Kreuzfahrer.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2720\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-2720\" src=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St-Thomas_Kreuzfahrer-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"St-Thomas_Kreuzfahrer\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St-Thomas_Kreuzfahrer-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St-Thomas_Kreuzfahrer-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St-Thomas_Kreuzfahrer-450x300.jpg 450w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/St-Thomas_Kreuzfahrer.jpg 1000w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>einem Supermarkt noch unsere Vorr\u00e4te erg\u00e4nzen. Mit dieser Beute fuhren wir zur\u00fcck zu Bahati. Um 1520 Uhr legten wir r\u00fcckw\u00e4rts ab und bliesen drei Mal kurz in unser Horn. Auf Wiedersehen St. Thomas. Die Bucht Christmas Cove ist nicht weit entfernt. Aber auch heute k\u00f6nnen wir nicht den direkten Weg nehmen.<a href=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Christmas_Cove_Map.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2710\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-thumbnail wp-image-2710\" src=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Christmas_Cove_Map-150x150.jpg\" alt=\"Christmas_Cove_Map\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/><\/a> Ein langer Schlag hinaus ist bei 15-18 kn Wind aus NE n\u00f6tig um danach direkten Kurs fahren zu k\u00f6nnen. Um 1720 Uhr haben wir die 9 Nm hinter uns und finden <a href=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Christmas_Cove.jpg\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-2707\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2707\" src=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Christmas_Cove.jpg\" alt=\"Christmas_Cove\" width=\"1000\" height=\"275\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Christmas_Cove.jpg 1000w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Christmas_Cove-300x83.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Christmas_Cove-768x211.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sy-bahati.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/03\/Christmas_Cove-500x138.jpg 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1000px) 100vw, 1000px\" \/><\/a>noch eine frei Boje s\u00fcdlich der kleinen Insel Fish Cay, welche sich mitten in der Bucht befindet. In unsere N\u00e4he liegt doch tats\u00e4chlich ein Boot mit einer gro\u00dfen Flagge, auf der \u201ePizza\u201c steht. Dank unseres Einkaufs ist Volker aber in der Lage f\u00fcr uns ein sch\u00f6nes Reisgericht mit H\u00fchnchen zuzubereiten. Als Beilage gibt es Tomatensalat.
